Notes: This fanmix is 20 songs long, ten for Earthbound and ten for Mother 3, trailing Porky's character evolution.

[A] Earthbound

1) I Can Go the Distance – Disney - 01

Porky’s original thoughts that spark his journey

2) No Hero – Offspring - 02

“Johnny was a weirdo
So what did you expect?
I ain't no fucking hero
I'm just trying to survive myself.”

Porky hears what Buzz-Buzz has to say and wants no part of it, but Ness wants to help.

3) Chasing Cars – Snow Patrol - 03

“We don't need
Anything
Or anyone

If I lay here
If I just lay here
Would you lie with me and just forget the world?”

Porky wants Ness to be his friend and forget everything else, including saving the world. He believes Ness needs nothing, but him. Take this how you will.

4) Wonderful – Everclear - 04

“I don’t want to meet your friend
And I don’t want to start over again
I just want my life to be the same
Just like it used to be
Some days I hate everything
I hate everything
Everyone and everything.”

Porky sees Ness with his new friends and wants it to go back to him and Ness by themselves. This makes him hate everything and want to make himself more powerful.

5) Handlebars – Flobots - 05

“I can ride my bike with no handlebars
No handlebars
No handlebars
……..
And I can end the planet in a holocaust
In a holocaust
In a holocaust”

Porky’s evolution in Earthbound from attention-grubbing neighbor to partner of the all-powerful Gigyas is both amazing and scary in one.

6) Headstrong – Trapt - 06
“Headstrong to take on anyone
I know that you are wrong
And this is not where you belong
I can't give everything away
I won't give everything away.”

Porky believes Ness is wrong to save the world when it means that he has to fight Porky and take away his new found position of power, and he will do whatever it takes to stop Ness.

7) How Far We’ve Come – Matchbox 20 - 07

“I believe the world is burning to the ground
Oh well I guess we're gonna find out
Let's see how far we've come
Let's see how far we've come
Well I believe it all is coming to an end
Oh well, I guess, we're gonna pretend,
Let's see how far we've come
Let's see how far we've come.”

Porky sees what Gigyas is planning and wants to see the end with Ness.

8)Let It Die – Foo Fighters - 08

“Do you ever think of me?
You're so considerate.
Do you ever think of me?
Oh, so considerate.

In too deep and lost in time
Why'd you have to go and let it die?
Beautiful veins and bloodshot eyes
Why'd you have to go and let it die?

Hearts gone cold and hands were tied.
Why'd you have to go and let it die?
Why'd you have to go and let it die?”

In the same train of thought as Headstrong, Let it Die shows how Porky blames Ness for their friendship going to Hell.

9) I Don’t Care – Apocalyptica - 09

“I try to make you see my side
Always try to stay in line
But your eyes see right through
That's all they do
I'm getting tired of this shit
I got no room when it's like this
But you want me
just deal with it!”

Porky tried his last time to get Ness to see his side and flips Gigyas switch, releasing true madness.

10) The Word You Wield – Say Anything - 10

“I've got a bone to pick with you
About the argument we had
The day you got into that cab
And said my world is in your past

You've got nowhere to go

There must be something wrong with me
My mind is just a sickly little alibi
And why am I surprised you're giving up on me?
Goodbye: the word you're wielding like a knife.”

After Porky flips off Gigyas’s switch, these are Gigyas’s last words to Porky as Porky flees through the depth of time to regain power.

[B] Mother 3

11) When Worlds Collide – Powerman 5000 - 11

“What is it really when they're falling over,
everything that you thought was denied,
I'm gonna be the one that's takin' over,
Now this is what it's like when worlds collide

Are you ready to go - cause I'm ready to go - what you gonna do baby – baby.”

Porky lands in the new world after a long, long time, and decides to take it over.

12) Burn – Nine Inch Nails - 12

“This world rejects me
This world threw me away
This world never gave me a chance
This world's gonna have to pay.

I don't believe in your institutions
I did what you wanted me to
Like the cancer in the system
I've got a little surprise for you.”

Porky’s hatred for the world’s new barter system and kind nature of the people there, helping him decide how to destroy the world’s current regime. (With Fassad’s help, of course.)

13) I Own You – Shinedown - 13

“Hey, c'est la vie.
Remember me? I made you, dressed
And trained you.
Hey, its bitter sweet.
You can't kill me with kindness,
I don't buy it.
Strip down, show me flesh and bone.
'Cause now I own you.”

Porky finds and creates his own personal toy from Claus, making him into his personal slave, all for the purpose of unleashing the dragon from its sleep for his own reasons.

14) Wanna be Loved – Papa Roach - 14

“I want domination
I want your submission
I see you're not resisting
To this temptation.

I got one confession
I love deprevation
I gotta jet black heart
It's all fucked up
And it's falling apart.”

New Pork City and everyone’s desire to go there along with everyone worshipping Porky shows that Porky’s attention-grubbing neighbor persona still exists through everything he’s done, but it has become twisted in time.

15) Still Alive – GLaDOS - 15

“When I look out there
It makes me glad I'm not you
I've experiments to be run
There is research to be done
On the people who are
Still alive.”

Porky watches Lucas’s adventure and ignores him, thinking that making more scientific monstrosities will kill him in time.

16) Kill the Lights – The Birthday Massacre - 16

“We kill the lights
And put on a show
It's all a lie
But you'd never know
The star will shine
And then it will fall
And you will forget it all.”

Porky built New Pork City not only for his own amusement, but to protect the site of the last needle all for his own purposes, and, once his mission is complete, no one in New Pork City will be alive, much less remember the city.

17) Seven Nation Army – White Stripes - 17

“Don't want to hear about it every single one's got a story to tell
Everyone knows about it from the Queen of England to the hounds of hell
And if I catch it coming back my way I'm gonna serve it to you
And that ain't what you want to hear, but that's what I'll do.”

Porky ignores Lucas’s problems and basically tries to stop or kill Lucas and co. on every floor of his tower. [That, and the beat of this song just makes me think of Porky.]

18) Learn to Fly – Foo Fighters - 18

“And I'm looking to the sky to save me
Looking for a sign of life
Looking for something to help me burn out bright

I'm looking for a complication
Looking cause I'm tired of lying
Make my way back home when I learn to fly.”

Porky is looking for the dragon to end his life, so he can finally be free.

19) What Have You Done – Within Temptation - 19

“Would you mind if I killed you?
Would you mind if I tried to cause you hell?
Cause you have turned into my worst enemy
You carry hate that I feel
It's over now
What have you done?

What have you done now?

I, have been waiting for someone like you
But now you are slipping away
What have you done now?”

Porky sees the remnants of Ness through Lucas. He hates what he sees, Ness trying to stop his work, his dreams again. He wants to destroy Lucas, but to do that, he’d be destroying his only friend, the one he misses so much that he built a museum dedicated to his life.

20) Gabriel – Lamb - 20

“I can fly
But I want his wings
I can shine even in the darkness
But I crave the light that he brings
Revel in the songs that he sings
My angel Gabriel.”

Even in the end, Porky misses Ness and their friendship together along with the promise of death.

I figured I would post the answers to the favorite characters meme I put up a while back. xD They are under the cut in case you still want to go back and guess. ^_^

1. Majin Tantei Nougami Neuro (Two answers) Sasazuka Dammit, man. I loved him. He was cool, level-headed, and knew his boundaries, and then Sicks shows up and GARBLE.
Aya Asia This woman is fucking nuts, but she is the most sane and gives Yako advice, which is very intriguing. I loved her interacts with Yako a lot.

2. ~~Digimon Zero Two~~ Digimon Kaizer (Not to be confused with Ken. Don't ask unless you want a rant. xX)

3. Mars Rei Predictable, but I like him.

4. Shugo Chara Nadeshiko She/he is crazy, yet very lovable. To be able to do what she/he did for tradition is worth admiring, to me.

5. Hot Gimmick Ryoji Magnificant bastard that he is, he is the most interesting. I read just to see what he does next.

6. ~~NCIS~~ Abby or McGee. It changes every episode. xD

7. Law and Order: SVU (Two answers) Huang or Cabot. I like how they both stick to their ideals while still nailing people to the wall.

8. Fairy Tail Gray. Dear God. He is nuts.

9. Professor Layton Flora She is so cute.

10. Final Fantasy V Butz I'm not sure why, though.

11. Hetalia Russia Why? Because I always likes Yanderes and Russian history. *shrug*

12. ~~That 70's Show~~ Eric Dear God. When he left, I stopped watching the show all together, except the series finale, which was totally worth it.

13. ~~Harry Potter~~ Ron So many reasons, so little space.

14. One Piece Zoro This one is really hard. Zoro wins, just because he is around the most. Law and Boa are tied for a very close second. Sanji runs in around fifth, mainly because of the fandom. >< Reading doujinshi that RUINS his personality drives me nuts.\

15. Ashita no Ousama Yu She follows her dream so fullheartedly that it's impossible not to be affected.

16. Liar Game Fujisawa Dear God. Fujisawa is nuts. I always want to know what he has planned.

17. ~~Getbackers~~ Ginji If you do not like Ginji, you must be a sad person. DX

18. Death Note Mello Why? Because he is the closest to normal. Misa is a close second.

19. Mirai Nikki (Future Diary) Yuno You might notice a favoritism towards yanderes. She is FUCKING NUTS. She is what I wanted Misa to be in Death Note.

Life Update

I have moved to Oxford, MS to go to grad school at Ole Miss. Pretty campus, nice people, HORRID PARKING, but... I like it so far. Today is the first day of classes and my first day having a good bit of free time. Funny, huh? First class is at 11am upstairs. The town is pretty. It is an ITTY BITTY town. Like, two streets compose the entire commercial districts... It's really weird, having moved from Mobile, where there were stores EVERYWHERE, but... As I said before I like it. The weather is so much cooler than Mobile ever was. It actually feels nice when you walk outside!

Moving was not fun or nice, though... First time since I was five I ever moved more than twenty miles. It sucks. Especially in the money department. Good God... >< I'm broke. So broke. I had to buy a laptop for school too. I haven't been feeling well the past few days either. It all comes at once, I suppose.

My life is kinda boring like always. Nothing really huge. I've become more addicted to webcomics... Read all of Ph.D comics over the past two weeks when I got a small bursts of free time. Started reading AppleGeeks Lite. I am such a dork. Oh, well. Any recommendations?

I... I just cannot believe it. I've read these comics for about 15 years, my longest fandom ever... I stole my sister's old comics to read them... I just... After 50 years of comics, they make him decide on Veronica... I am not mad at the characters, and I do not really hate Veronica or Archie, but... Dammit, Betty is my favorite character, and I want her to be happy! Maybe, just my OTP (Betty/Jughead) will come true... Fat chance, though, but I am still hoping. If not, I will be very sad...

I don't normally update about recommendations on anime/video games/manga, but there is a first time for everything!

I want to let everyone know that this show is one of the few anime I have ever seen that I can watch and always feel happy after watching it. It is insane, but it is lovable and, honestly, I have not seen a character I have hated yet in it (I have only watched until episode 5, though). It is still airing in Japan, so it isn't complete, but I strongly, strongly recommend at least trying to watch it. ^_^

Heh, as for a game to play, I would recommend Digimon World: Dusk/Dawn. It is weird to say, but I like it better than any Pokemon game, except Crystal. It is fun to play... But that might just be me.

Also, if you need a laugh, click here. (Seriously, it's not meant as a prank or anything, it just makes me giggle everytime I watch it.) =P

Oh! Ryan's house finally got DSL, so I will be online a LOT more now! YAY!!! *parties all around*

I'm alive! I started my new job this week. It's interesting. Most of the time, I'm just doing computer research, so I like it. xD The first two days sucked, though, because I had to read a really, really boring paper... Different Complexation Properties of Some Hydroxy Keto Heterocycles toward Beryllium (II) in Aqueous Solutions: Experimental and Theoretical Studies. ><; It's just as boring as it sounds, but eh. whattcha going to do. Other than that, I started playing Phoenix Wright, which is far more fun than I ever thought it would be, as is Nintendogs. [Alice is my cute Spaniel. xD] I would recommend the manga Sensual Phrase to anyone who likes romantic drama. I like it a lot. It's a bit like MARS, but with a bit more of a cheerful side and a bit more smut. Let's see... That's about it... I think.

The rain set early in tonight,

1. Who is your favorite character from #2?

Selan. She's strong, yet weak; strong-willed, yet no bash. She is a beautiful mother who loves her son and wants the world to be right, so his life will be easier than hers has been.

2. Who is your least favorite character from #4?

Carlos, I suppose.

3. What would a crossover between #1 and #5 include?

Here is a sample of what I would see:

Ban and Reno drinking together.
Ryuudo vs. Rude fight. I mean, damn. Muscles. Too many muscles.
Yuffie would meet Emishi.
Shido would because like Gau, you know, training with monsters in the field.
Akabane would go to the North Crater because his "OMFG!Strengththisway" senses where tingling and a Sephiroth vs. Akabane fight would ensue.
Hevn and Tifa would be gawking at each other for having the same size breasts.
Kazuki would be forced into a Honeybee Inn costume.
Cloud would meet Jyuubi who was searching for Kazuki.

4. What is your favorite ship from #6?

Kira/Rei. God. This is one of the very few fandoms where I like the main pairing far, far too much. I usually hate canon, so it's weird.

5. If you were to set one person from #3 and one person from #6 on a blind date, who would they be?

Um... Minako with... With... Tatsuya because it would be sweet, but Tatsuya would end up gently telling her he already has a girlfriend.

6. If you could meet one person from #4 and spend the day with them, who would it be and what would you do?

All of them. All of them because it would be impossible to leave with just one to a con. IMPOSSIBLE.

7. If you could change one thing about #2's plotline, what would it be?

Nothing. Not a damn thing. I would leave it alone and play it all over again.

8. Explain a relationship between two people (not necessarily romantic) from fandom #5, and why you like the relationship between them.

I suppose Ban and Ginji. They have a special bond that is not romantic, yet unbreakable. No matter the trouble, they both know where the other is and constantly thinks about them without getting romantic or sexual urges about each other. I find it amazing. Honestly, the relationship Ban and Ginji have is one of the reason I started to believe that soulmates are not necessarily always romantic. It is one of the few canon relationship I would never change even if given the chance to.

9.If the lead title characters (first name in the credits) from #1 and #3 were both drowning, and you could only save one, who would it be?

They both would be saved by someone else before me or would a 'miracle' would happened and they would live anyway, so why bother?

10. If you could change the title characters' order in the credits for #4, what order would you choose?

There aren't credits. It's a manga, but I suppose that if it did have credits, it would be Alex, Sandy, Elle, Morgan, etc.

11. If you were able to add a new character, any kind of character you wanted, to the storyline for #6, what would the character be like, and what would their role be?

I wouldn't. It would have to be an angst character or a bitter one who would somehow manipulate Kira into loving Rei more. Or, she/he would be a total Mary Sue/Gary Stu. >< No thanks.

12. What happens in your favorite episode of show #2?

The wedding of Maxim and Selan. It was so pretty...

13. If you could kill off one of the characters in #1, who would it be and how would you do it?

I suppose it would be Hojo, but he already died. ~~Ignoring the fact FFVII's sequels revive EVERYONE, but Aerith.~~

14. If you got the chance to visit the set for either show #3 or show #5, which would you choose?

GETBACKERS. Infinity Fortess set would be awesome, but for the love of God, just let it be a set because I would get kill otherwise. Though, the Silver Millenium would be tempting.

I place my bet on a cat or a werecat because dammit, cat fleas fucking bit the shit out of me... ><; My legs each have about 10 bites a piece because our cat Pepper has fleas. Not to mention my arms and back... Dog fleas do not bite me, ants don't usually, and mosquitos only do it when there are a swarm. But, cat fleas? They love me for some fucking reason. Rawr!!!!!! Luckily, the exterminator is coming this Wens.

Anyways, other than that, I have a test today in Physical Chemistry II... *sighs* And a lab due Friday that I have not started... >> Oh, well. I don't really care anymore. On the bright side, less stress this way! Heheheh.
